| Q:It seems you know a lot about vegetarianism and resources. Did you attempt going veg at one point or do you just take an active interest in Denise's vegetarianism? Or do you just ask her all the questions and take credit for the answers? |
| A:I get this question on occasion. I have not attemted to go veggie nor have I wanted to. I am a meat eater and am content to stay that way. Denise has accepted that fact and still loves me enough not to try and change me. My meat eating has greatly diminished since we moved in together and that is okay with me. As for my vegetarian knowledge, 99% of the information on this site I have gotten from Denise. She has read a lot about vegetarian and vegan diets as well as the bad things that the meat industry does so I have to give her most of the credit about edcuating me. |
| Q: How does your girlfriend buy and handle meat with her beliefs? |
| A: She doesn't. Sometimes she will buy meat when we are shopping or at dinner and she pays the bill. That doesn't compromise her beliefs mainly beacuse the meat was going to get paid for anyway so it's an issue of sharing expenses not one of her compromising her beliefs buying meat. At home, when we have meat (for a cookout for friends or what have you) I will not let her handle the meat. She doesn't want to mess with it and I am perfectly happy with that. I handle it, I cook it and I clean up afterwards. I feel that if she's going to let me have it in the house the least I can do it not make her mess with it. |
