Thursday afternoon, we went to see him, again he was so excited to see us. We wanted to get him weighed on the off chance that he was 25lbs or less. This truly showed me how unprofessional these people are. After we spent several minates explaining to them just WHY we were there and several more minates waiting for a tech to take us back, had finally had a chance to get Fred some attention. The tech tried to put him on a leash but he would have none of it, so Denise took the leash and coaxed him over and got the leash on him, which was pretty much useless because he wasn't walkin' anywhere on that leash, so Denise picked up this evil doggie and carried him to the front reception area.....
Where we waited. Fred was so afraid he was shaking whenever no one was petting him..
And waited....
People looked at us, and we waited.....
Finally someone asked us what we needed, someone that we had spent several minates previously explaining the situation to, and they called the vet tech back to the front. Finally she showed up and was confused by our request, she thought we were going to take him to OUR vet, but that now she understood and we carried him back and put him on the scale. My hopes soared when the first reading was 26.6!!! I could have him!! Then it flashed to 34.4 and that's where it stayed, needless to say I was unhappy, but we figured that's what he was going to weigh. We had to hope now that Watson would not be jerks about the whole thing and call Denise back. So we then took Fred back to the main lobby and waited for the vet tech to let us take him back to his cell.
And we waited...
And waited......
And still we waited....
They were about to close when they reaziled that we had been standing there for 20 mins with this dog. We told them that we couldn't take him today and that he needed to be taken back. They were a little confused but called someone to the front to take Fred.
This woman I thought Denise was going to take a swing at, Fred hadn't walked anywhere, we had to carry him, he was shaking he was so terrified in spite of our efforts to soothe him and this woman comes up takes the leash out of Denise's hand and starts to try and take Fred back. Obviously he wouldn't go and Denise said that she would carry him. But this woman was a Queen Bitch, she said plainly that we shouldn't be back there and she would take him back, as she's dragging this poor little guy across the floor by his neck. I could sense that Denise was ready to explain the situation to this woman with a solid left-hook, and I wasn't about to stop her, instead she scooped Fred up and took him back to his cell. He was so sad and pitiful when we left him that I knew we had to come up with something quick to save him because it was now the end of his third day, and his clock was now ticking....
