Friday, the clock was running on Fred and we were still no closer to an answer when Denise came up with a final option. She called her mother who somewhat reluctantly agreed that if Watson wouldn't allow her to have another dog that she would adopt him. It wasn't the best option but it was the only one we had. We started to make plans to go as soon as the pound opened Saturday and spring Fred. I was working along at my job when suddenly the phone rang and on the end of the line was a terribly excited Denise. Aparently Watson called the owners of the house she was renting who just happened to be animal lovers and they gave the okay for Denise to get another dog!!! Fred was saved!!!!
We rushed to the pound, and after what seemed like a ton of paperwork and listening the one of the techs tell us how they had to try to snare Fred with a noose on a pole and he rolled "like a gator", we were finally able to go and get him out of his cell and take him home where the belonged!!! After a bath he looked like a completely new dog and as happy as ever!
Unfortunately we still have to take him to the vet to get checked and pay for all his shots but that's a small price to pay to rescue such a great little dog, dontacha think?
