New Orleans Red Gravy
(tomato pasta sauce)

I find this to be pretty good on a hot summer day.

If you buy strawberries on sale, slice them, sweeten them and freeze them in one cup portions, it makes it a lot quicker to prepare. The strawberries can also be bought like that, but it's less expensive to do it yourself.

Ingredients:

Put the ice in a blender and pulse until it's crushed up. Add apple and lemon juices and blend a little bit. Slightly defrost strawberries and add, blend well.

This makes enough for a light lunch, in my opinion. It also makes a nice festive drink garnished with a umbrella and in a fancy challice.
