Albuquerque
Name:el Patio de Albuquerque
Location: Near UNM
Type of food: New Mexican
Review: They have great New Mexican food, and two vegan entrees: Spinach enchiladas on blue corn tortillas,
and vegetarian burrito (avocado and tomatillos--be sure to tell them to hold the cheese). My husband has the bean
burritos with no cheese. Meat-eaters can have regular enchiladas, tacos, burritos, et cetera, that I've heard are quite
good. Cheap, cheap. Often they have a guy outside playing acoustic guitar.

Name: Huang Thao
Type of food: Vietnamese
Review: This is a tiny Vietnamese restaurant in a pretty bad neighborhood, but the food is great. The vegetarian spring rolls
and dipping sauce are terrific, and the tofu and vegetable stir-fry smells so good it's a shame to eat it. But it tastes
terrific, too. Cheap, cheap.

Name: Punjabs
Location: on Central
Review: Punjabs, on Central (not to be confused with Taste of Punjab's, which I'm sure is fine but to which I've never visited)
Vegetarian/vegan buffet, for the most part, with one non-vegan selection. Great food, very cheap. Try the saag. It's
terrific.

Name:The Great Wall of China
Location: 2913 Sudderth Drive
Fare: Chinese and variants thereof
Price Range: Affordable ($10 - $15 per meal)
Review: I've worked at the Great Wall for almost two years. Though I'm new at this
meatless diet, I've found that Great Wall can accommodate it. With tofu versions of
almost every meat dish, along with a vegetable section on the menu plus vegetable
egg rolls, the Great Wall is a great place to find friendly, meat-free fare. Be
cautious though, some dishes are cooked with oyster sauce, but just the server to
leave it out. Prices are very affordable, and the food is VERY good.
