Sometimes I wonder how a dog as smart as Fred is could be so neurotic. Fred is terrified of thunder and lightening. I mean chew the doorknob and door jamb terrified.
Guess what season it is here in Florida? That's right...Thunderstorm season!!
Even when we bring the dogs in, Fred still freaks out. Saturday night we left the dogs out, no storms on the horizion. While we were out a big ol' storm hit and when we got home, there was Fred sitting in the carport. He had gotten out of our previously escape-proof Doggietraz. There was a small gap at the house where the fence couldn't reach because of the foundation. So, we clamped another pole to the end pole and successfully closed the gap. Well, Fred managed to shove that pole out of the way and got out. Of course he went around and chewed on the front doorknob and frame.
I think we should have named him Houdini because he has escaped from every fence we've installed. I only hope that T-storm season doesn't last much longer.
